If the mark of a great entertainer is the ability to transcend his medium, then Rick Fox is undoubtedly making his mark.  An NBA first round draft pick in 1991, his impact on the league as a player was immediate.  Elevating his game and his status as a celebrity in those years, Rick Fox left his stamp on arenas throughout the league. However, this would prove to be only one of many areas in which Rick would excel.

Fox was born in Canada, grew up in the Bahamas, and then moved to Indiana when he was 13 years old to pursue basketball.  Following high school, he took his game to the University of North Carolina, where under the tutelage of the legendary coach Dean Smith, Rick honed the skills needed to enter the NBA.  Rick was selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 1991 NBA Draft.  Early success in Boston helped Rick become a respected and sought after free agent.  In 1997, Rick found himself headed to Los Angeles to play for the Lakers.  The city would prove to be as perfect of a fit as the team itself, offering him the opportunity to explore another interest, acting.

Fox’s recently starred in the Tyler Perry feature film “Meet the Browns” opposite Angela Bassett.  He also appeared in Spike Lee’s “He Got Game” and Disney Pictures’ “Holes.”  Fox played a recurring character in the highly acclaimed HBO series, "Oz,” and Lifetime’s “1-800-Missing.” Fox’s other television credits include FX’s acclaimed series “Dirt,” The CW’s “One Tree Hill,” and he appeared on the smash ABC hit “Ugly Betty.”
